The Zephyr AirDolphin Mark Zero is a next-generation micro wind turbine, designed for use in a wide variety of weather conditions. From low wind speeds (starting at just 2.5m/s) the AirDolphin can be delivering power straight into your household’s power grid (using our Grid Connect kit) or into storage batteries using our DC Connection Kit.

Energy Connect UK has installed units in the midlands and at the research site in Aberdeen. The installations are UK grid connect supplying additional power (230vac) to buinsinesses and homes.

The turbine is very light - complete assembly excluding pole - is under 19Kg which makes mounting much easier. This also allows very fast response to changes in wind direction which is a bonus in turbulent environments such as you expect in city or town environments

The turbine design works as a battery charger for off grid application or as a grid tie device for grid connect applications. It can be installed in remote locations to be used with communications 24vdc (nom) power supplies and battery systems.

Installations

As each installation has its own unique position they are dependent upon a site survey.  Custom anchors mountings and erections are developed by our own engineering staff, drawings can be provided for planning permission purposes and structural analasis.
