Energy Connect UK is a Midlands based firm specialising in the supply and installation of both renewable micro-generation and also energy efficient products. We now stock variouse Micro Wind turbines (MWT) and are available for site surveys and installations.

We actively recognise that a Wind Turbine is not the ideal or most practical solution for many customers, so we have concentrated on creating a product range that can utilise many of the Earth's natural resources from a full rain harvesting systems to roof mounted solar panels. When these are combined with our energy efficient household products, we believe that we can not only cut a typical households 'carbon footprint' but also make a very noticeable impact economically.

Looking long term, we see education being just as effective in any fight against our carbon emissions and it's consequences and hence we offer free of charge talks or interactive lessons regarding both renewable power sources and energy efficiency to schools and youth organisations across the midlands.

Acting On CO2 East Midlands Exhibition

Energy Connect UK will be exibiting at the Acting on CO2 Exhibition at the EPIC, Centre, Lincoln on the 19th November. The venue will be sustainable building and part of the integral part of the low carbon master plan for the Lincoln Showground.

Owning your own MWT ?.

Energy generation is a hot and controversial topic where micro wind energy projects are concerned so why is there so much demand? Having a MWT is not only about being able to afford it, but is being seen as an increasing statement by the public of global concern about power and conservation. Is it better to pay into green projects or have something that can be seen and put on display? For some ownership is about just that, "Owning", not paying into a system which has no noticeable benefit and without any accountability. Many may disagree about MWT carbon footprints, Kw Output and Payback (what was the payback of my old Cortina ?) but ownership comes with its merits Monitoring tasks, Financial allocation, Electrical output and its physical appearance.
